![]() At best it is too vague, I imagine. You should definitely choose the Softcore mode if you're a new or casual player in Diablo 4 then we think to avoid any unnecessary challenge or pain to your playthrough. That said I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could locate a screenshot of the 5 part popup that appears when you talk to Erol, as I either misunderstood or the misinformation was conveyed in game and I am very curious which it is. Not that I would have trusted gamespot to understand anything about a game mechanic… ![]() You cannot kill unmarked players and vice versa.” “By marking yourself for blood, you are enabling the ability to kill other players, and for other marked players to kill you. Like a gamespot article that appeared when I googled diablo 4 bloodmark. It doesn’t help that there is plenty of misinformation out there that flat out gets it wrong. I have since been informed that this is not how it works, bloodmark enables hostile action against anyone in the zone, so you can be attacked by and attack bloodmarked players regardless of your status. And believe me, I was looking over the details pretty carefully. I wished I had saved the actual text of it (does anyone have it?) because after reading that I concluded the same thing. When I first entered the zone I did so at Alzuuda and talked to the NPC Erol, which brought up a 5 page popup describing PvP.
